Encouraging engagement and knowledge sharing across scholarly publishing

ALPSP has a number of special interest groups available to join for free. These are open to members and the wider scholarly publishing industry.

Main aims of the groups

  • Increase engagement amongst like-minded scholarly communities
  • Tackle and drill down into relevant issues and problems
  • Increase networking with peers, allowing experiences and case studies to be shared
  • Suggest ways to address problems and find solutions to particular issues
  • Share findings with others in scholarly publishing.

A sense of belonging and realising that you are not alone in facing specific challenges is perhaps one of the best reasons to get involved in a SIG.

About the groups

  • Each group will meet virtually and be overseen by a small group of leaders
  • Zoom and Slack software will be used for communications across the group
  • All applications and topics will be referred to/report to the ALPSP Membership and Marketing Committee and we ask all participants to adhere to the ALPSP Code of Conduct.
  • At least one group leader should be an ALPSP member
  • The majority of groups are open to both members and non-members of ALPSP. Check if your organization is a member of ALPSP.
