Overview
Continuous improvement and operational excellence techniques continue to provide measurable value across multiple business sectors. Having an insight into approaches that have proven effective both within the publishing sector and other diverse industries helps to 'share the experience' and ensure best practice is understood across member organizations.
This group aims to explore business improvement techniques and methodologies and how they can support the publishing industry to achieve organizational excellence. It will share tools and advice which have proven effective.
Applicable roles are wide and varied. Anyone who has a requirement to meet business objectives through improvement of processes and procedures would benefit from this SIG. Relevant participants include Production Specialist, Peer Review Operations, Programme Delivery, Journal Manager, Editor, and Product Development.
