Leiden, The Netherlands – Edinburgh University Press is the latest publisher to join the ALPSP Collections via ACCUCOMS’ Aggregagent. Edinburgh University Press, one of the leading university presses in the United Kingdom, publishes content in a range of subject areas across the humanities and social sciences.
With fourteen publishers included, Aggregagent keeps on adding content to an already impressive collection of over 350 journal titles. ACCUCOMS aims to launch Aggregagent to libraries and consortia in September 2017, offering them a wide range of subject collections varying in size and granularity.
Sarah McDonald, Head of Journals at Edinburgh University Press, said, “We are delighted that ACCUCOMS have launched a replacement for the former ALPSP Learned Journals Collection and that they have expanded the collection offering for libraries. The new Aggregagent service is ideal for smaller publishers and we look forward to working with ACCUCOMS to increase the reach of our journals to institutions and consortia worldwide.”
ACCUCOMS’ Commercial Director Simon Boisseau said “Edinburgh University Press has over 40 journals in humanities and the social sciences, and is a perfect fit for both the ALPSP Collections and Aggregagent. We look forward to bringing the ALPSP collections to libraries around the world from September this year. “
As of May 2017, ALPSP and ACCUCOMS announced a partnership to reinstate sales services as a benefit of an ALPSP membership. ALPSP members can opt to have their journals included in a series of ALPSP Collections available for purchase by libraries, in addition to the broad and narrow subject classifications of Aggregagent. With content available from multiple publishers, the ALPSP Collections are growing fast.
