Leiden, The Netherlands – ACCUCOMS and Berghahn Books have signed an agreement for the inclusion of Berghahn journals in ACCUCOMS' Aggregagent. The agreement encompasses eighteen journals in the fields of cultural studies and politics, which will be added to Aggregagent Collections and the ALPSP Collections.
As of May 2017, ALPSP and ACCUCOMS announced a partnership to reinstate sales services as a benefit of an ALPSP membership. Members can opt to have their journals included in a series of ALPSP Collections available for purchase by libraries, in addition to the broad and narrow subject classifications of Aggregagent. ALPSP Collections now contain content from ten publishers, including more than 200 journals. In addition to the complete collection, also subject-related ALPSP Collections are formed.
Vivian Berghahn, Journals Director at Berghahn Books, said “We are really pleased to include our journals in the new Aggregagent subject collections, especially the re-launched ALPSP Collection. The Aggregagent model is a great opportunity for publishers of our size, who seek to be part of a wider – yet curated – selection of complementary social science and humanities journals. Working with ACCUCOMS strengthens our own activities in key areas and we look forward to our collaboration.”
“Berghahn Books is a great example of an ALPSP publisher who can benefit the most from the Aggregagent model. With an expanding editorial program comes the need for robust sales efforts, and Aggregagent can offer an effective global sales solution with minimum risk for the publisher” said ACCUCOMS’ Commercial Director Simon Boisseau. “We look forward to adding Berghahn titles into the ALPSP Collection and other relevant Aggregagent collections.”
