A wide range of ethical issues can arise in academic publishing. This course provides a general introduction to publication ethics for journal staff, highlights common forms of publication ethics- related misconduct, and the importance of having effective publication ethics policies, systems and procedures in place to effectively detect and deal with poor practice and misconduct in scholarly publishing.

Who should attend?
This course is relevant to publishing team members who are:
- editorial team members
- newly joining a publisher’s research integrity team
- developing journal policies, systems and/or processes
- tasked with ensuring journal publication ethics policies and procedures are complied with
- responsible for ensuring the integrity of peer review.
