Scholastica has announced "Grow Your Scholarly Journals in 2026," a free start-of-year webinar series spanning strategies to help publishing and editorial teams maximize the efficiency of their operations, reach new readers, and expand the impact of their content.
The series will consist of the following webinars:
How Can Smaller-Sized Journal Publishers Get More Out of Software? (Jan 30th at 3 PM UTC): During this webinar, members of Scholastica and Maverick Publishing Consultants’ teams will meet with editorial managers who participated in our 2025 survey on smaller publisher tech needs to discuss solutions to address the top technical priorities surfaced in the survey report.
How to Get a Journal Indexed in PMC: What You Need to Know (Feb 26th at 3 PM UTC): Members of the Scholastica team will walk through the PubMed Central application process. The presenters will then be joined by editors of journals that successfully applied to PMC for a panel-style discussion on their experiences and lessons learned.
Demonstrating Broader Journal Impact: New Opportunities With Altmetrics (Mar 19th at 3:30 PM UTC): During this webinar, Kathryn Weber-Boer, Director of Scientometric Researcher Engagement at Digital Science, will cover the latest ways journal publishers can leverage altmetrics data to demonstrate and grow their content impact.
Each webinar will feature time for Q&A, so attendees can join the conversation. Scholastica will also send registrants the recordings of the sessions they sign up for. You can sign up to attend any or all of the webinars in the series here.
