How is AI reshaping peer review?
AI is rapidly transforming the research and publishing landscape. From drafting and language-editing support to reviewer selection, plagiarism screening, and AI-detection software, new tools are influencing almost every stage of the scholarly publishing process. Yet while discussion about AI in publishing is growing, there is still limited clarity about how these tools are actually being used in practice.
We are working with a group of researchers to better understand the real-world impact of AI on peer review and editorial workflows. To support this work, we are conducting a short survey to gather perspectives from across the publishing ecosystem.
Whether you are an author, a manuscript submitter, a peer reviewer, a journal editor, or a publisher, your experience will help us build a clearer, evidence-based picture of how AI tools, as well as tools designed to detect AI use, are being adopted, governed, and perceived. Your insights will contribute to a broader understanding of how AI is shaping quality, transparency, and trust in scholarly communication.
The survey takes only a few minutes to complete, and we would be very grateful for your participation.
