Basel, Switzerland (27 November 2025) - MDPI’s Journal and Article Management System (JAMS) team has recently launched its Editorial Guidance service.

The service offers editorial guidance to help journals grow, sustaining journals' efforts to pursue quality, appeal to authors and reach new audiences through open access publishing.

To help journals achieve this, the Editorial Guidance service provides personalized support covering indexing strategy, peer review optimization, journal development and publishing best practices.

MDPI has partnerships with over 180 learned societies and has successfully launched more than 400 journals. Therefore, these services ensure that publishers receive not just technology, but the strategic expertise needed to thrive in today's competitive scholarly landscape.

Speaking about the launch, Silvano Bonfatti, product manager at MDPI, said: “Our users told us they needed more support beyond just managing submissions. They wanted practical help to improve their journals. That's why we built this service directly into our platform, making editorial expertise available to all our clients, whether they're launching their first journal or managing an established one.”
