ALPSP announce the appointment of Astrid Engelen-Visser as Alert & Policy Bulletin Editor. She succeeds Pippa Smart, who stays on as Editor-in-Chief of Learned Publishing.
The monthly Alert and quarterly Policy Bulletin are offered to ALPSP members to stay updated on important news of relevance to the publishing industry.
Wayne Sime, Chief Executive of ALPSP, added: “I am very pleased to welcome Astrid and we look forward to working with her. I’d like to thank Pippa for her service over the last 15 years and am delighted she is continuing as Editor-in-Chief of Learned Publishing.”
Astrid was most recently Business Strategist at IOS Press and has a background in journalism. She comments: “I’m thrilled to be helping to communicate what’s going on in the business to ALPSP members. These days, we are inundated with messages through various channels, so if ALPSP members decide to read only the Alerts and Policy Bulletins, they won’t miss a thing.”
