Speakers:
Emma Lowe is Director of The London Book Fair, having rejoined RX in July '25. Her career with LBF started in 2000 as an Events Admin and continued for 12 years before leaving to work for The Bookseller as their Commercial Director. At The Bookseller she headed up projects such as FutureBook and The British Book Awards. Following that, she had stints working for Glassboxx and then HarperCollins as their Head of Events. She has a degree in French and Italian from the University of Bath.
Wayne Sime is Chief Executive of the Association of Learned and Professional Society Publishers, and a Non-Executive Director of the Publishing Licensing Services (PLS). He was previously the Director of Library Services for the Royal Society of Medicine, and has extensive experience in IT and people management. He has also worked within the NHS and the financial sector. Wayne is a Chartered Librarian and became a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Library & Information Professionals in 2009.
Bridget Shine is Chief Executive of the Independent Publishers Guild (IPG). She delivers the IPG’s strategy and has overall responsibility for the organisation. Since joining, Bridget has steered a doubling of the IPG’s membership and introduced numerous new services, events, award-winning training and resources.
