ALPSP is proud to have joined all the individuals and organisations across the creative industries and the globe who have signed this ‘Statement on AI Training’:“ The unlicensed use of creative works for training generative AI is a major, unjust threat to the livelihoods of the people behind those works, and must not be permitted”.

With over 36,000 signatories, this open letter calls on regulators to requires AI companies licence creative works for training. Individuals are encouraged to add their name, which you may do via the statement’s webpage. It is hoped that with a collective voice, we can further ensure that rightsholders legitimate concerns over the unauthorised, unpermitted, and unreimbursed copying and using of their works in AI training are heard.
