ALPSP International Mentorship Scheme awarded Mentorloop Impact Award 2025

We are delighted to announce that the ALPSP International Mentorship Scheme, sponsored by PLS, has received the prestigious Mentorloop Impact Award for the second consecutive year.

This recognition is based on four key criteria: Shared Philosophy, Opportunity and Accessibility, Engagement and Satisfaction, and Overall Impact.

Since its launch, the scheme has grown significantly—from 66 participants in 2022 to 283 in 2025—now representing 19 countries and more than 90 organizations. Our mentorship programme is designed to foster connections and support professional growth across the publishing community, welcoming participants at every career stage, from early-career professionals to seasoned veterans. Feedback from participants highlights increased confidence, career advancement, and new opportunities as key benefits of the scheme. To make the programme even more accessible, ALPSP now offers an “always-on” model, allowing participants to join at any time rather than waiting for an annual intake.

An integral part of the ALPSP Careers Hub, the mentorship scheme is a free benefit for all employees of member organizations in a mentee role. Mentors are drawn from both member and non-member organizations, ensuring a truly global and inclusive experience. As a founding member of C4DISC, we are committed to encouraging applications from diverse and marginalized groups.

We are proud of the impact this programme continues to have and look forward to welcoming even more participants in the future.
