Philadelphia, PA (May 28, 2019) – Delta Think (www.deltathink.com), a consulting and advisory firm focused on innovation and growth in scholarly communications, today announced the appointment of Lauren Kane as Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective July 8th. In this role, Ms. Kane will lead Delta Think’s expansion as the organization increases its footprint as an expert advisor in scholarly communications and a trusted voice in the evolving dialogue on Open Access and Open Science. She will also work directly with Delta Think clients supporting their strategic needs in this rapidly changing environment.
Ms. Kane’s career spans over 15 years in scholarly communications, most recently serving as Chief Strategy and Operating Officer of the nonprofit scientific publisher BioOne, where she was in charge of sales, content development, new products and services, and strategic partnerships. Lauren’s extensive experience with scholarly publishers and scientific societies in particular have provided her with the first-hand experience necessary to support Delta Think’s client base as they work toward fulfilling their unique missions and goals. Recently elected as SSP’s 2019-2020 President-Elect, Lauren is an active community participant and frequent conference speaker. In addition to serving on the SSP Board of Directors, she is Vice-Chair of the ALPSP Professional Development Committee.
