Programme

Understand the role of the Product Manager within the organization, and the key skills required to be successful.

  • Identifying Ideas, opportunities and screening them: We all have ideas often, but many of them are not commercially viable. Learn how to take an idea or opportunity and screen it to arrive at a potentially viable concept for development for your market.
  • User/Customer feedback & Market Research: Do you develop the product and tell the user they need it or do you respond to customer need and bring the customer along with you on the product development journey? On this course, we look at understanding the value of market research, with particular emphasis on customer feedback on developing your product, and how those customers can inform you at different stages of the product roadmap.
  • Stakeholders & Communication: For product managers it is important to bring your colleagues along with you on the product development journey and to continually get buy-in and investment from senior business stakeholders. Learning key communication skills can avoid miscommunication and a lack of confidence in the product by senior management.
  • The product roadmap: Understanding the product roadmap is central to success. Product managers use a number of frameworks, tools and best practices in developing product. In this course we give you an overview of the most commonly used ones and share our experiences.
