2027 marks a major milestone as we celebrate the 20th ALPSP Conference. To make the occasion even more special, we're taking the event to a brand-new location: The Eastside Rooms, Birmingham.
For twenty years, our conference has brought together professionals, thought leaders, and industry experts to share ideas, explore emerging challenges, and build valuable connections. Now, as we enter our 20th year, we're looking forward to welcoming delegates to Birmingham for what promises to be our biggest and most memorable event yet, with a new venue that provides the perfect backdrop for another year of inspiring discussions, practical insights, valuable networking, and thoughtful debate.

This in-person event takes place in the UK. The ticket price includes UK standard-rate VAT at 20%, which is applied based on the event’s location. A VAT receipt with a full VAT breakdown will be issued once your booking is complete.

ALPSP 2026
The ALPSP Annual Conference and Awards 2026 was held at The Manchester Deansgate Hotel, Manchester, UK from 9-11 September.
The fantastic Suze Kundu, set the tone with our Keynote Session Learning From The Experts: What Science Communicators Can Teach Us About Research Impact. The conference featured a wide-ranging programme covering everything from AI and Copyright to Research Integrity, Sustainability, Lean Editorial Operations, and Marketing and Engagement. Our Award Finalist Lightning Presentations showcased innovative projects and achievements from across the industry and the Industry Updates session ensured attendees remained informed about the latest developments, trends, and issues affecting the scholarly communications sector.

Member discounts
ALPSP is pleased to offer a discount on the ALPSP Conference and virtual training course registration fees to member organizations that are based primarily in Low Income/Low Middle-Income Countries (LIC/LMIC). This is based on staff numbers and is in line with the discount on membership fees.
