About the award

This award aims to recognise potential in early career individuals and give the winner(s) the opportunity to attend the ALPSP Annual Conference in person. In return, the winner(s) will be required to write a short review of their experiences of the conference.

ALPSP Rising Star Awards Winners 2025

ALPSP is delighted to confirm the four winners of the ALPSP Rising Star Awards 2025:

Conditions of Entry
  • The Association of Learned and Professional Society Publishers (ALPSP) reserves the right to make fewer or no awards if there are insufficient high quality applications.
  • This award is open to ALPSP Members only.
  • Nominations should be made in accordance with the instructions under ‘How to make a nomination’ and the nomination form.
  • The nomination form should be countersigned by the nominee.
  • The closing date for nominations is midnight Friday 13 June 2025 (UK) and the successful applicants will be notified by 1 August or as soon as possible.
  • There are no geographic restrictions on applications.
  • Entrants must be 18 years of age or over.
  • Signing up to ALPSP marketing emails is not a requirement of entering the award.
  • The winner(s) will be required to provide a 500-1000 word report within 28 days of attending the conference for publication on the ALPSP blog and/or website.
  • Post event publicity: (a) Details, including photographs of the award winner(s) may be published on the ALPSP website; (b) Press releases announcing the winner(s) will be distributed to relevant media; (c) Details of the winner(s) may be published in ALPSP Alert and Learned Publishing.
  • The winner(s) will be awarded free registration for the ALPSP Annual Conference 2025.
  • The winner(s) may reclaim travel and hotel costs directly relating to attendance at the ALPSP Annual Conference 2025, up to a maximum of £1,500. Detailed receipts will be required.
  • The winner(s) will be responsible for their own travel and accommodation arrangements.
  • All places are non-refundable and no cash alternatives are offered.
  • ALPSP will not be responsible for any other expenses incurred by applicants.
