We require a new Community Manager who will be responsible for building engagement with researchers within partner institutions, ensuring they are successfully onboarded, supported and confident using the platform.
Working closely with Product, Customer Success and institutional partners, you will become the friendly, knowledgeable voice of the platform, creating resources, gathering feedback and helping to shape an engaged research community.
This role is focused on supporting institutional adoption by delivering an outstanding experience for researchers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver researcher onboarding programmes for partner institutions, including training sessions, walkthroughs, documentation and virtual office hours.
- Build strong relationships with researchers and serve as a trusted point of contact throughout their journey.
- Create engaging communication materials, including user guides, FAQs, onboarding resources, knowledge base articles and educational content.
- Gather user feedback and work closely with Product and Customer Success teams to improve the platform and user experience.
- Support webinars, workshops, conferences and other community engagement activities.
- Encourage platform adoption within partner institutions through proactive engagement and ongoing support.
- Establish feedback loops that strengthen both the researcher experience and institutional relationships.
- Help develop and scale community engagement strategies as the organisation continues to grow.
Skills & Experience:
- You’ll be an excellent communicator who enjoys working with researchers and academic communities, with the ability to explain complex concepts in a clear, engaging and accessible way.
- Experience in Community Management, Customer Success, User Engagement, Communications or a similar role.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with the ability to simplify complex workflows for different audiences.
- Experience engaging with technical, academic or research-focused communities.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- A proactive, self-motivated approach with the confidence to build new programmes and processes from the ground up.
- Comfortable collaborating across Product, Marketing and Customer Success functions.
Desirable Experience:
- Experience within scholarly publishing, scholarly communications, research support, academic libraries or learned societies.
- Experience driving user adoption for SaaS or digital platforms.
- Knowledge of the academic publishing ecosystem and researcher workflows.
- Experience planning or delivering webinars, workshops or community events.
- Additional European languages, particularly German, would be advantageous.
