In supporting ALPSP’s mission, all volunteers, committee members, and Board members may be entrusted with sensitive information. This statement outlines ALPSP’s expectations for maintaining confidentiality and protecting organisational information.

 

Your Responsibilities

By serving as an ALPSP volunteer or committee member, you agree to:

  • Treat all information shared in meetings, emails, and documents as confidential unless explicitly stated otherwise.
  • Not disclose, share, or use confidential information for personal or professional gain.
  • Take care when storing or sharing ALPSP information, particularly when using personal devices.
  • Continue to observe these obligations even after your volunteer role ends.

Examples of Confidential Information

Confidential information includes, but is not limited to:

  • Draft policies, strategic plans, or budgets
  • Internal discussions, committee papers, and financial reports
  • Personal data about members, staff, or other volunteers
  • Information shared in confidence by partners or suppliers

Breach of Confidentiality

Any suspected or actual breach should be reported immediately to the Chief Executive or Company Secretary. Depending on the nature of the breach, action may include removal from a volunteer role or further review by the ALPSP Board.

 

Annual Confirmation

Volunteers confirm their agreement to this statement by completing the Conflict of Interest and Confidentiality Declaration Form. ALPSP may request an updated confirmation annually or at any time circumstances change.
