May joined the RSC 18 years ago and has spent 14 of these managing editorial boards, as both Managing and Executive Editor, and is currently responsible for the flagship journal, Chemical Science. She has also worked across smaller, community-led journals as well as broader, multidisciplinary titles to develop and implement journal strategies with varied editorial boards.
