Pooja Aggarwal

Pooja Aggarwal is Director of Academic and Professional Publishing (A&P) having joined Bloomsbury in July 2021 from Springer Nature where she was Editorial Director in the Medicine and Life Sciences Journals group responsible for over €60 million in revenue annually. Pooja’s journals experience brings knowledge and understanding of recurring digital subscription models, born digital editorial, article and video-based content workflows, platform development, pitching to major publishing partners, knowledge of the academic library sector and an understanding the content needs of both researchers and professionals. Alongside this, Pooja has experience of the open access space.

Pooja has experience of running a large and expanding global content portfolio, experience of both academic and professional markets, book and born digital products, a collaborative, consultative and decisive leadership style, experience of international markets (including China and India), mergers and acquisitions and proven commercial ability and fiscal responsibility.

Pooja’s core focus is to work collaboratively with all key A&P teams and functions to develop and implement one joined-up A&P strategy to ensure the division’s ambitious goals are delivered.
