
George Thomas
George Thomas is Head of Strategic Partnerships at Frontiers, a leading open-access publisher headquartered in Switzerland. He drives strategic partnerships with global organizations such as WEF, UN Climate Change, WHO, UNHCR, UNESCO, UNEP, Building Bridges, GESDA, Swissnex, and the International Year of Quantum, fostering collaboration at the intersection of science, policy, and innovation.
At Frontiers, he manages Frontiers Policy Labs, a platform bridging science and policymaking, and oversees Frontiers’ contributions to the WEF Top 10 Emerging Tech Report. He also supports the Frontiers Planet Prize, cultivating impactful strategic alliances. He began his journey at Frontiers as a Specialist in the Publishing Development team before transitioning to Public Affairs, where he started exploring partnerships and strategic projects.
Before joining Frontiers, George worked at an environmental startup in Germany, facilitating Indo-German technology transfer and fostering cross-border collaboration in environmental innovation. He holds a PhD in Biology with a specialization in environmental science from the University of Konstanz, Germany.
