Simon Smith

Simon heads the PRS Solutions team at Taylor & Francis, supporting the 2,200+ journals’ editors, reviewers and authors using submission platforms. Leading the responsibility for technical assistance, configuring peer review systems to journal requirements, and training editors.

 

Simon started as a coordinator in T&F support team in 2017 and began to specialise in their nascent in-house author platform, the T&F Submission Portal. Designed as a single sign-on submission platform and dashboard, the Submission Portal allows authors to submit their manuscripts and track their submissions to T&F journals. This is now in use across most of their journal portfolio. Simon is key to ensure the integration between SP and peer review systems, working closely with the Product team on enhancements to improve and support the author and editor experience which is more important than ever in a very changeable landscape.

 

Prior to Taylor & Francis, Simon completed a PhD at the University of Portsmouth where he also worked as a social media editor for the Port Towns and Urban Cultures research project.
