Ralitsa Madsen
Dr Ralitsa Madsen is a Sir Henry Wellcome Postdoctoral Fellow at UCL Cancer Institute where she studies quantitative cell signalling phenomena to understand better the mechanisms underlying certain human diseases, including cancer. Apart from her daily research, Ralitsa is also an avid Open Research advocate. She has co-authored an Open Records draft policy together with Prof Chris Chamber (member of the Steering Group of the UK Reproducibility Network); this template policy encourages funders to adopt mandatory Open Records deposition as an integral component of their funding criteria, alongside Open Access. Ralitsa has also recently been appointed as member of the inaugural UK Committee on Research Integrity (UK CORI) for a 3-year-term period. Established following a recommendation by the House of Commons Science and Technology Select Committee, the aim of UK CORI is to promote research integrity across the UK and internationally, through consensus-building and active engagement with the entire research sector.
