I work at the intersection of scholarly publishing, AI, and education, with a focus on building scalable capability frameworks that support the evolving roles of editors, reviewers, and authors.

As publishing workflows are reshaped by AI and increasing global participation, I am particularly interested in how education can move beyond standalone training programmes to become a core capability layer, supporting quality, integrity, and scalability across the publishing ecosystem, including strengthening understanding of research integrity, ethics, and the responsible use of emerging technologies.

I have been actively engaged with the community through ALPSP and the STM Association India Chapter, including chairing an upcoming ALPSP session and presenting a strategic perspective on India’s transition from an emerging market to a capability and innovation hub for global scholarly publishing.

In parallel, my role as President of the Association of Publishers in India (API) has provided experience in leading industry-level initiatives and engaging diverse stakeholders within a complex and rapidly evolving publishing landscape.

I am standing for the Education Committee Chair role to help shape more inclusive and scalable approaches to capability-building, particularly in the context of AI-enabled workflows and the growing contribution of the Global South. I believe ALPSP can play a catalytic role in enabling broader participation while maintaining high standards of integrity and trust across scholarly communication.

Prashant holds a PhD and MBA from IIM Lucknow.
