Dr. Albina Arjuman Nair is presently serving as Scientist D in the Indian Council of Medical Research, New Delhi. She holds a Ph.D in Biochemistry from All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi; and, Post Graduate Diploma in Health Economics, Healthcare Financing and Policy from Public Health Foundation of India, New Delhi. With well over a decade of being associated with the Indian Journal of Medical Research, she has extensive experience in Scientific Publishing as well as Journal management. She presently serves as the Executive Editor of the Indian Journal of Medical Research and is a member of reputed international societies including the World Association of Medical Editors and the Council of Science Editors. She has been actively engaged in several capacity building initiatives on behalf of ICMR. Her goal is to increase the global visibility and footprint of Indian Journals and strives towards this through a solutionist approach by engaging in stakeholder consultations and brainstorming sessions with concerned key opinion leaders in the scientific publishing arena within on national as well as international forums and also through undertaking research, writing and dissemination.
