Deeksha Gupta

Director – Global Strategy for Society Programs

Dr. Deeksha Gupta is a senior STEM leader and innovation strategist with 15+ years of experience spanning Scholarly communication, research administration, international society programs, government partnerships, and science policy. She serves as Director – Global Strategy for Society Programs at the American Chemical Society (ACS), overseeing large-scale science education, researcher development, and industry-academia collaboration initiatives across India and globally. She holds a PhD in Material Science & Engineering from IIT Delhi and had a postdoctoral stint at City University New York. She has a strong record of building mission-driven programs in alignment with Indian national science priorities including DST, SERB, and INSA partnerships. She leads diverse stakeholder ecosystems across government, academia, and industry to foster a culture of research and innovation in India. She is elected as Indian National Science Academy (INSA) Women Associate, 2025, foundation batch with special responsibility for driving program strategy and collaboration with INSA governance. She also serves as Mentor for Wadhwani Innovation Network, Centre of Excellence at IIT Delhi.
