Alison Welsby is Editorial Director at Liverpool University Press, where she manages an outstanding team of commissioning editors. She is responsible for commissioning books in history, heritage, and visual culture, and oversees Trailblazers, an Open Access initiative supporting early career researchers and their work. Alison also runs a successful undergraduate publishing module as part of LUP’s award-winning Pavilion Poetry series, and from September 2026, will serve as an Honorary Lecturer on the University of Liverpool’s forthcoming MA in Publishing.
