Angie Anderson

Chief Partnership Officer

Angie is currently the Chief Partnership Officer with GeoScienceWorld, a nonprofit publishing company in McLean Virginia. GSW is an aggregation of digital content created by seven major societies in the geosciences. Today GSW has a mixture of journals, eBooks, and proceedings content.

Angie has been with GSW for 14 years. Prior to joining GSW, Angie was with CQ Press in Washington D.C. and was involved in the acquisition of CQ Press by SAGE Publications. Prior to that Angie was with CommTek Communications, a satellite television programming guide publisher based in Northern Virginia.

In her current role, Angie is responsible for creating and maintaining the relationship with the Society Publishers who create the content in the GeoScienceWorld Platform. This includes a recent acquisition of almost 60 additional publishers with content in AAPG’s Datapages. Also, Angie is the strategic leader in what additional services can be provided to the participating societies, to assist them in thriving independently and supporting the sciences.
