Sarah Ogilvie

Sarah Ogilvie is Senior Research Fellow in Linguistics at the University of Oxford. She has worked in publishing as an Editor at the Oxford English Dictionary and in Silicon Valley at Lab126, Amazon's innovation lab where the kindle was created. She directs a new degree at Oxford which trains humanists in digital tools and methods. She writes a popular column on language in Prospect magazine and her books include The Dictionary People (Vintage, 2023), Gen Z, Explained (University of Chicago Press, 2022), and The Whole World in a Book (Oxford University Press, 2020).
