The PA and ALPSP hosted debate: Brexit, and the potential impact on Academic Publishing
Introduced by Audrey McCulloch, CEO of ALPSP
Richard Mollet of The RELX Group chairs a conversation with Andy Robinson, Wiley, and Richard Fisher, academic and policy correspondent
UK Publishing is a world leader in scientific and scholarly research, producing more cited research papers than any other country after the US. As a member of the EU, the UK has received £8bn funding for research from 2006 to 2015, making it the second largest recipient of research funds. With the UK set to leave the European Union, the impact on the publishing industry is still unknown. Speakers will be discussing this, and other implications for the publishers and learned societies in the UK and the broader impact for their businesses in Europe and globally.
