Peter has served as the executive director of AUPresses for 13 years. He came to the role from Oxford University Press, where he was vice president and publisher for their US Law Division. Earlier experiences in academic publishing include positions at Wolters Kluwer and a division of what is now Thomson Reuters. Peter began his working career in association management in Washington, DC. He holds a BA in Classical Studies, an MA in International Affairs, and both a JD and an LLM. Peter is admitted to the bar in Maryland, DC, and Hawai’i. He serves on the board of directors of both the National Humanities Alliance and Seminary Cooperative Bookstores. Peter has been a judge for the Association of American Publishers’ PROSE Awards since 2015.
