About the role: We have an opportunity for an experienced Senior Publisher to lead the editorial growth of our journals portfolio and provide strong, inclusive leadership to our editorial team.
As Senior Publisher, you will combine portfolio-level strategic oversight with hands on people and operational leadership. You will lead, develop and coach a team of publishers and editors, working closely with academic editors, societies and partners to strengthen the quality, impact and performance of our journals. Acting as senior product owner for a portfolio of journals, you will oversee performance, lead new journal launches and major initiatives, manage key editorial and partner relationships, and ensure high editorial standards, effective governance and robust financial performance.
About you: You bring experience and/or transferable expertise in STM journal publishing, including contributing to or managing a portfolio of journals or similar publishing products. You enjoy supporting and developing others and bring a thoughtful, inclusive approach to people leadership and coaching.
You’re comfortable working collaboratively with academic editors and external partners and confident using publishing metrics, data and financial information to inform decision making. You’re a proactive, resilient team player with strong communication skills and a commitment to working openly and respectfully with a wide range of stakeholders.
