Description

The Association of Learned & Professional Society Publishers (ALPSP) seeks to appoint a Conference and Events Coordinator to join its friendly, home based team.

ALPSP is the international membership trade body that supports and represents not-for-profit publishers and those who work with them. With 325 member organizations across 35 countries, ALPSP’s mission is to connect, inform, develop and represent the international scholarly and professional publishing community.

ALPSP conferences and events support the strategic aims of the organization, including providing quality professional development, helping to grow membership and strengthening ALPSP’s influence and reputation within the scholarly communications sector. 

Reporting to the Conference and Events Manager, you will support with the organisation of ALPSP conferences, awards, exhibitions, events and webinars. For full details, please refer to the job description.

 

Salary: £30,000 per annum.

Holiday: The holiday year runs from 1 January to 31 December - entitlement in any holiday year is 25 days, plus recognised public holidays. In addition, staff will be given up to 3 days between Christmas and New Year as the office will close during this period. On completion of five years’ continuous service, you are entitled to two days' extra annual holiday.

Pension Contribution Match: ALPSP offers a pension contribution matching programme of 5% of your annual salary.

Life Insurance: ALPSP provides life insurance cover.

Probation: 9 months’ probation

Office equipment: ALPSP will provide necessary office equipment including a laptop and mobile.
