Leslie Lansman B.A., J.D, LL.M has over 20 years of experience across the creative industries and in both London and New York. She has worked as a lawyer, an academic (mainly at Queen Mary Center for Commercial Law Studies), as a researcher for the UK Ministry of Justice and the IPO, and as a consultant for startups. Currently, she holds the position of Global Permissions Manager at Springer Nature.
As a Director and Chair of the ALPSP Policy Committee she is avid in raising awareness around copyright issues and concerns, and in education as she also provides copyright training courses through the ALPSP training programme. While her speciality is in copyright law issues, she has a keen interest in all policies affecting the global publishing industry.
