Thomas Metcalf

Thomas Metcalf earned his doctorate in philosophy from the University of Colorado, Boulder. He has published peer-reviewed articles in AI governance, applied ethics and social and political philosophy, philosophy of science, philosophy of religion, metaethics, metaphilosophy, and philosophy of education. He is currently an associate professor of philosophy at Spring Hill College and a senior researcher at the sustainability lab at the Institute for Science and Ethics with the University of Bonn, where he is working on projects in artificial-intelligence governance, democracy, and sustainability.
