It was a busy 3 days at the Fair this year and we were delighted to say hello to so many of our members and see lots of new faces too. The member drinks reception which was held on Tuesday (sponsored by Copyright Clearance Center) proved to be a very popular event with around 80 people attending.

The Research and Scholarly Publishing Forum and Faculty
ALPSP supported the RSPF which was held in the Olympia Conference Centre and tackled the major issues shaping the future of academic publishing, including the impact of Open Access and the hot-button issue of Plan S. It was an extremely successful event.
Both sessions in The Faculty were attended by a very engaged audience:
Creative Commons Explained Chaired by Sarah Faulder, CEO of PLS with speakers Marjon Esfandiary, Head of Legal & Policy, PLS and Duncan Campbell, Senior Director, Global Sales Partnerships, with John Wiley & Sons. You can view Marjon's slides here

Preprints: Policy and process considerations Speakers Dr John Inglis, Co-founder of bioRxiv and medRxiv, and the founding Executive Director and Publisher of Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory Press in New York and Theo Bloom, Executive Editor at BMJ.
