About the Job:

The Regional Sales Manager will maintain relationships with IOPP’s customers and be responsible for sales revenue and growth within the territory.  The role involves frequent travel within the region to establish and maintain contact with existing and prospective clients through institutional visits as well as attendance at conferences and trade shows. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Establish strong relationships with IOPP’s customers in the region
  • Develop clear and effective proposals for current and prospective customers
  • Plan and organize sales strategies to generate new business
  • Collection and analysis of marketing intelligence on customers
  • Provide management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities and potential for new products and services
  • Develop and manage relationships with internal departments involved in the sales process including Marketing, Customer Service, Legal and Finance Departments

About you:

The successful applicant will have the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Sales experience preferably in the publishing industry
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills
  • Ability to undertake frequent travel (25-35%)

And should demonstrate the following:

  • Drive for results
  • Ability to manage and measure work
  • Customer focus
  • Commitment to personal development and learning
  • Functional and technical skills
