The Research & Scholarly Publishing Forum at the London Book Fair 2018

The Research & Scholarly Publishing Forum at The London Book Fair 2018

Access All Areas: Global Trends in Research and Scholarly Publishing
Is this the end of publishing as we know it?

In partnership with the Association of Learned and Professional Society Publishers (ALPSP) and sponsored by Copyright Clearance Centre (CCC), the 2018 Research and Scholarly Publishing Forum will tackle the major issues shaping the future of academic publishing, including the impact of Open Access and the future of peer review processes.

The RSPF will debate the big questions facing Academic publishing, including: How much of OA content is used by the general public whose taxes supported some of the research? How many researchers regularly read papers in disciplines other than their own? What is the real impact of academic research papers and monographs being freely available?

  • Understand the challenges and trends facing research communication
  • Receive an overview of global trends and how they are applicable to local markets
  • Listen to debate surrounding complex issues such as Open Access and peer review
  • Network with leaders in scholarly publishing.
