There has been considerable recent activity with regards Open Access,
particularly in UK and Europe, which has caused concern and confusion amongst
publishers and those who work with them. Since the UK Government endorsed the
publication of the Finch Group Report in July 2012, funders, institutions and
publishers have been working together to implement the recommendations. The new
open access policies from Wellcome and Research Councils UK will come into
effect on 1 April 2013. The new arrangements will include block grants to
support payment of Article Publication Charges (APCs).

- Licensing: what

- Embargoes: what are the pros and cons of
increasing/decreasing embargoes, and what does this mean for you?
This workshop is open only to learned societies. The guiding principles discussed during the day will
be captured and shared with all ALPSP members.
