The Association of Learned and Professional Society Publishers was formed in 1972 with 24 society members. Today ALPSP has more than 315 member organisations in 39 countries and is the largest international trade association for scholarly and professional publishers. We aim to serve, represent and strengthen the community of scholarly publishers, and those who work with them. Results of Publishers Licensing Society survey of text and data mining activity announced
13 August 2015: The Publishers Licensing Society recently conducted a survey of text and data mining activity to which ALPSP Members were invited to respond. A total of 111 unique responses were received and the results will be unlikely to surprise many of those involved in scholarly and professional publishing.

Wiley To Publish ALPSP Journal Learned Publishing in 2016
12 August 2015: John Wiley & Sons, Inc., today announced a new publishing agreement with the Association of Learned and Professional Society Publishers (ALPSP). Under the contract the company will publish the ALPSP journal, Learned Publishing from January 2016 through December 2020.
